Com 150 Characteristic Of Expository Essay Week 2 Day 7

My first essay choice was the Art of Cookery. The essay opened up to the reader with this first line. “The famous French gourmet, Anthelme Brillat-Savarin.”   Now the writer has got your attention if you know who Antheime Brillat-Savarin is.   But, after that it was all business. The first paragraph was back ground of the history of why and how to set up a complete dinning evening.   The write went step by step as in the same order of building a house, such as starting from the ground up so to speak. The first step help the next step build off the pervious step, and continued on in a building line. The writer had to do their home work on the famous French gourmet, and how to properly set a dinner table up. The method of organizing the steps in chronological order was a nice touch. The order of organization was simply the best choice. Mainly because I did not get lost in the reading, and if the writer used a different way to organize his paper it may not have been as clear.



The second essay choice is How to clean a fish By Gary Poyssick. This guy used a lot of detail, and is very clear in his steps on how to clean a fish. He also added the different options on how to clean the fish as in the question about the fish head. Leavening it on the fish or remove it. He even has diagrams of where to cut the fish and how. This way the readers see an example, so to clear up any unknown misunderstandings. Going back on how Gray gave you options, he did so many different ways. I think he did that because fish can be served many ways. He basically had a general idea and then elaborated off that. I really do not think that order of his cleaning fish was his. More like he was taught that way and it was just pasted down like so. If he had done it any other way it may have changed how the writer would have used visual aid.

As for both essays and how they are alike. I can only see the steps process was used by both. One was short and sweet (The Art of Cookery). Ten quick...
